A Call for Art!

Submissions Deadline is Friday, February 15, 2013

As the Student Council’s signature fundraising event of the year, the Annual Benefit Art Auction celebrates the creativity of local artists from across the Southern California area. This Auction accounts for approximately 50% of our annual fundraising for the semester, which directly benefits student involvement through grants, leadership training, workshops, and educational opportunities for the students of the College of Liberal Arts. Please consider submitting your work for possible inclusion in the Auction. This is a new and wonderful opportunity to support student leadership and activism as well as to promote your own artwork to a diverse audience!

This year for the inaugural Benefit Art Auction, we will be featuring the theme of “The Roaring Twenties.” Artwork that explores the people, architecture, nightlife, celebrity, and cultural impact of the 1920’s (not limited to the United States) is sought for inclusion. The night will feature great food, drinks, music, and artwork for people to view and silently bid on.

Art Specifications:

·       Submitted art must be related to the Auction’s theme of the 1920’s (Roaring Twenties)

·       All digital art must be submitted in JPEG (.jpg) format (maximum 900 pixels x 900 pixels; 300 dpi)

·       Preferred artwork dimensions: 4ft x 4ft x 4ft MAXIMUM

·       Frames for art are not necessary upon submission (all art will be framed for the show)

Benefits for Donating Artists
