As one of the preeminent universities in the CSU system, California State University Long Beach boasts an expansive and innovative College of Liberal Arts with a holistically engaging and student-driven faculty. Together, these faculty scholars help mentor and educate rising graduates and undergraduates into the world of academia and cutting-edge research. As the first annual Research Showcase, this symposium aims to highlight the most creative and scholarly research currently being done by students within the college, as well as exposing the vast contributions the liberal arts is making to our evolving society, on a local and global scale.
 for submission. Papers and posters from all disciplines will be eligible for selection.  All Undergraduate and Graduate students in the College of Liberal Arts are invited to submit a 1-page abstract (250 words) to research@csulbclasc.org. Submitted abstracts must be associated with an academic department or program within the College for consideration. All abstracts are due by Friday, April 8th 2013 for review by the selection committee. Need a poster? Funds are available for printing to eligible students on a first come, first serve basis.
